Morning newborn sessions are an absolute favorite of mine. I already love the morning, because #coffee, and the light is often so soft and beautiful. Add a precious, squishy newborn with doting parents to that, and I get so excited to capture images that will be heirlooms for the family.

This session with baby J was such a joy. I was able to photograph the maternity session before he arrived, so I was anxiously waiting for news that he had arrived. The nursery was a perfect setting for these photos, and I happily snapped away while wearing my mask and taking all Covid precautions.

These images are a mixture of digital (color) and film (black and white). I always photograph with this combination for newborn sessions, because I simply love the effect of both mediums.
