Welcome to the second venue guide post to some of my favorite Minneapolis wedding venues! Today, I’m featuring the beautiful Hutton House. This venue was built just a few years ago and is nestled into a quiet neighborhood in Medicine Lake, just 15 minutes from downtown Minneapolis. The moment you drive up, you will love the crisp and clean exterior with black windows and shutters and welcoming front door.
Inside, the entryway is spacious with a coat closet and restrooms easily accessible. The interior is all white, which is a dream for all photographers who love light and airy photos, even while you’re inside. There are large, light-filled getting ready rooms upstairs for both the bride and groom. No worries about booking a getting ready space when you’re getting married here! It is such a convenience for you and your guests to have all of the wedding day events in ONE place – and with it’s own parking lot.
The iconic shot of The Hutton House usually involves the large fireplace, which can be decked out in statement florals. This room can be used for your ceremony in case of poor weather. With windows on both sides of the room, the natural light is perfect for ceremony, family photos and cocktail hour.
Just outside the many doors is a large courtyard space where guests can drink cocktails and mingle after dinner. This is also a lovely space for your ceremony. The largest room holds the bar and reception space for dinner and dancing. The room is large and can accommodate up to 300 guests, or you can divide into a more divided areas of dinner / dancing for smaller groups.
The Hutton House is a favorite venue of ours to photograph because it truly is a stunning luxury venue just outside the heart of the city.
