Brooke and Brock are the kind of couple that you feel connected to instantly. When we photographed their Lake Calhoun engagement last summer, I knew I was going to be counting down the days until we saw them again on their wedding day this summer. They planned from afar, first from New York and then from their new home in Montreal, with the help of Brooke’s mom and Kerry of Simple Elegant. Everything came together flawlessly for their St. Paul Cathedral ceremony and reception at the James J. Hill Library.
Deciding to wait until the ceremony to see each other, the anticipation was high and made for a really special walk down the aisle. Not only do Brooke and Brock have incredible style, they were beautiful together because of how truly excited they were to be married. After the ceremony, their adorable Goldendoodle, Monty, joined us at the park for some photos (and this dog is adorable!).
After cocktail hour outside of the library, guests joined inside to continue the celebrations with speeches, an adorable first dance and live music by the Bluewater Kings Band. There was also a live painter who painted a scene of the reception throughout the night. We snuck Brooke and Brock out for some sunset photos which are always worth the ten minutes away from the party. Their day is the kind of wedding that was fun and meaningful from start to finish. I can’t say enough good things about how sweet and caring these two people are, which is evident by their lovely family and friends who joined them on their wedding day. Enjoy highlights of Brooke and Brock’s gorgeous wedding!
