Neither storm nor power outages could stop this couple from getting to the alter. Minneapolis experienced some pretty nasty thunderstorms and wind the evening before Laura and Brett’s wedding, but lack of power and air conditioning in the church didn’t get their spirits down. They wore smiles all day and didn’t seem remotely bothered by this hiccup in the plans.
I am blessed to call Laura and Brett dear friends, which makes telling the story of their engagement and wedding day all the more special. If ever there were two people meant to be together, it was these two. After their beautiful, tear-inducing (at least for me!) ceremony, we were off to Stillwater for their reception and some beautiful outdoor portraits with the newlyweds and their bridal party. The natural light outside was GORGEOUS and couldn’t have made a more ideal setting for photos.
Laura and Brett – thank you so much for allowing me into your wedding day and for your friendship. It means the world.
One of my favorite moments of the day was when Laura’s maid of honor put the veil in her hair. I loved how the light came in and illuminated the veil around her. Don’t even get me started on how beautiful her dress is – I think I actually gasped in delight when I came into the dressing room and saw it hanging. SO beautiful and Laura wore it so well!
